NEWBERRY, S.C. - After a heartfelt senior recognition ceremony the Wolves got straight to work in a dominant win against Mars Hill, 20-4.
11 Wolves found a point today with
Cassell Richardson leading the pack. Richardson had eight points total, a season high but one shy of her career best. She found the back of the net five times and assisted three times. Â
Ella Todd was next up on the scoring chart, scoring four goals and finding three assists. Todd reached a career milestone in today's match, with her 100th career point. The goal came during a free position attempt where she was lined up parallel with the GLE on the right side. Darting to the cage, she found a door step dump, going 1-1 on free positions and going 100% on shots.

The Wolves smothered the lions at every chance, Mars Hill went 8-16 on clears, turning the ball over a whopping 19 times. 12 different Wolves caused a turnover today to total 15 caused turnovers.

Not only leading the Wolves in caused turnovers, Bates was second in total ground balls on the day with three. She trailed Elias who registered four ground balls.

Kaitlyn LaManna had a strong showing today. LaManna played in three quarters of the match, saving seven shots and only allowing four.Â
At draw controls, Jobs was untouchable, winning seven for the Wolves, the highest among either side. Plumer was the closest to her, winning four for Newberry.
Stretching from the first minute of the second period to the last two minutes of the third, the Wolves scored the bulk of their points, going on a 13 goal run. Within the second and third, the Lions were held scoreless, sending only seven shots to the net.
