Wolves Swept by Railsplitters in Saturday Twibill

HARROGATE, TENN. - The Newberry College baseball team (21-25, 15-12) dropped a pair of games Saturday afternoon at Lincoln Memorial, 14-3 and 12-4.

Junior outfielder Donovan Ford went 3-for-6 with a triple, two stolen bases, a run scored and another driven in while extending his hitting streak to 25 games.  He is six hits away from becoming the ninth player in Newberry history to collect 200 career hits.

Kade Faircloth also had hits in each game, going 3-for-5 with a run scored and a run batted in.

It is the team's first conference series loss since late February.

The Wolves host Emory & Henry in a three-game series to close out the regular season beginning Friday starting at 6:00 p.m. at Smith Road Complex.

A win Friday will clinch a berth to the South Atlantic Conference postseason tournament.
