NEWBERRY – Heading into the final regular-season game of 2024 on the heels of two consecutive wins, the No. 9/10 Newberry College men's lacrosse team will look to lock-up a home South Atlantic Conference tournament game and the No. 4 seed with a road win over Anderson tomorrow night. Faceoff is scheduled for 7:00.

Scouting the Wolves:
• Newberry (10-3, 5-3 SAC) earned a 16-7 road win over Lincoln Memorial on Saturday.
•
Scott Reed scored six goals to lead the Wolves. It's the sixth time this season Reed has scored at least six goals in a game, and he leads the conference and Division II with 60 this season.
•
Ethan Canning scored three times to record his first hat trick of the season and first goal since the Wolves' 14-9 win over Indianapolis on March 9.
•
Zach Thompson added one point via a goal to reach 51 on the season – seventh most in the SAC.
• The Wolves own a 3-0 record versus Anderson, including a 17-12 win at Setzler Field last March.
Scouting the Trojans:
• Anderson (7-7, 5-3 SAC) has won four of its last six games and beat Mars Hill 17-6 on the road last Saturday.
• Four Trojans scored two goals in the win over the Lions, and nine others scored once to give AU 13 goal-scorers.
• Among the two-goal-scorers was Tristan Kirkham who leads Anderson with 32 goals in 14 games.
• Logan Gaddis has the most assists (23) and points (43) on the team.
• AU's primary goalie Hunter Klosterman has the fourth best save percentage in the conference (.557).
