GAFFNEY, S.C. - Women's tennis takes a narrow win against the Saints, 4-3.
The day started off rough for the Wolves, only seeing one win in doubles.
Sofia Cardenas and
Aina Miralles continue their hot streak as they emerge victorious for the Wolves 6-3.
Singles was much more refined for the Wolves, winning three matches in a row. Court #1 featuring Emma Arnel took the first singles win with a 6-4 set followed by a strong 6-1. Cardenas went undefeated on the day. Taking the first set 6-4, Cardenas secured her victory in 6-3. Court #3 of
Margarita Nikonorova mimicked the previous match, going 6-4 then 6-3. The last win came from Miralles who is now on a six singles win streak. Miralles secured the win for the Wolves 6-3 in both the first and second set.
A much tighter match than anticipated,
Ish Singh narrowly lost to her opponent in a well fought battle.. After breezing by the first set 6-1, Singh forced a long 5-7 loss in the second set. In the tiebraking match Singh could not regain the moment she had, dropping the third, 4-6.
The Wolves are back in action on Wednesday, March 20 where they'll travel to Lenoir-Rhyne at 2 P.M.
