GREENWOOD, IND. – Four members of the Newberry College men's basketball team were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, announced Tuesday afternoon.
 
All-District members include senior guard Payton Cronen, sophomore guard DeShona Gaither, junior center April Rummery-Lamb, and junior forward Jess Tomkins.

To qualify for the list, the student-athlete must have competed in 90% or started in 66% of games for the season and achieve a 3.5 GPA


The 2023 Academic All-District® Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field or court and in the classroom. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early April.
