NEWBERRY, S.C.- The Wolves (7-15, 5-9 SAC) battled but fell to the No. 12 Indians of Catawba (16-3, 11-2 SAC) 55-43 this evening in Eleazer Arena.
The Wolves started off slow, only scoring 16 points in the first half. After halftime, the Wolves picked it up defensively holding the No. 12 Indians to only six points in the third quarter and only 14 in the fourth quarter.
The Wolves held the No. 12 Indians to 55 points this evening when the Indians average 75.1 points per game.
The two teams scored a combined 14 points in their defensive efforts in the third quarter.
At the end of the fourth quarter the Wolves didn't give up, being down 22 points, the Wolves went on a 10-0 run cutting the deficit to 12 points.
The Wolves outscored the Indians in the second half 27-20.
