Box Score 2 FLORENCE, S.C.- The Wolves (9-9, 0-0 SAC) split their double header this afternoon at Francis Marion (11-4, 0-0 CC). The Wolves won the first game 6-5 and then fell in the second game 6-5.

Pitcher,
Lindsey Foster, tagged the win for game one to improve her record to 4-2.
The Patriots started the first inning where they put three runs on the board.
Newberry came out hot in the second inning with a homerun from
Cassidy Phelps for her and
Vanessa Wilson to score to shorten the Patriots lead to 3-2.
The Patriots had a solo homerun in the third to extend their lead to 4-2.
In the fourth inning,
Hailey Hill homered for her and
Vanessa Wilson to score to tie the game 4-4.
Yahaira Williams hit a homerun in the fifth inning for her and
Leah Evans to score to take the lead 6-4.
The Patriots tried to come back by adding one more run on the board, but the Wolves took game one 6-5.

Both teams had a slow start in the second game until the Wolves put two on the board in the top of the third.
Melanie Carr doubled to left field and
Emily Perry scored.
Sierra Brogdon reached on an error by the Patriot's second baseman and Carr scored to put the Wolves up 2-0.
Francis Marion then added one in the third and then four in the fourth to take the lead 5-2.
The Wolves answered with a double to right field from
Sierra Brogdon for Carr and
Maddy Staples to score, making the score 5-4.
The Patriots added one more on the board to extend their lead to 6-4.
Hailey Hill homered in the top of the sixth for the Wolves.
The Patriots took game two 6-5.
