NEWBERRY, S.C.- The Wolves (8-17, 6-11 SAC) battled but fell to the Trojans of Anderson (19-6, 11-6 SAC) this evening in Eleazer Arena 62-42.
April Rummery-Lamb led the Wolves this evening with 12 points while also tagging five rebounds and two assists.
Chloe Andrew added eight points and three rebounds behind Andrew was
Julia Paoletta with seven points, five rebounds, and two assists.
Ella Pearson led the pack with two blocks against the Trojans.
The Wolves outshot the Trojans from the free throw line 77.8% to their 60% and the bench outscored the Trojans bench 9-7.
The Trojans were the first to get on the board with two and then both teams were scoreless for 2:37 when Anderson added two more points.
The Wolves had a slow start in the first quarter then came out firing in the second quarter. To start the Wolves off in the second quarter was
Hannah Nimmo with a three to cut the Trojans lead to 12-8.
The teams continued to battle till the Wolves went on a 6-0 run to take the lead 24-21 going into halftime.
The Wolves started the third quarter extending their lead 26-23 where then the Trojans would answer with a three to tie the game 26-26.
The Wolves continued to battle but the Trojans took the game 62-42.
