NEWBERRY- This week's Army National Guard Newberry College Players of the Week are junior Irma Watson-Peréz, and junior guard Malik Joseph. 

Watson-Peréz broke her own school record in the indoor weight throw with a best effort of 58 feet, 11 inches at the Florida Collegiate Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.  She finished fourth in the event and was the only NCAA Division II competitor to finish in the top seven.  Her throw also places her 12th in Division II.

Joseph helped lead the Wolves to consecutive wins for the first time this season by scoring 42 points on 58% shooting from the floor overall and 45% from 3-point range in the two games.  He added six assists, a pair of blocked shots and an assist.  Joseph scored at least 20 points in both games and has scored in double figures in five consecutive games, averaging 15.4 points per game.
