NEWBERRY, S.C.- After a tight battle between the Wolves (4-12, 2-6 SAC) and Cobras (10-5, 4-4 SAC), the Wolves fell 59-40 in the conference matchup.
In the first quarter the Wolves outscored the Cobras 10-7. The Wolves took the lead 6-4 with 2:29 remaining with the help of a lay up from
April Rummery-Lamb. The Wolves held the lead for the remainder of the quarter.
Going into the third quarter, the Wolves trailed 21-17. The Wolves outscored the Cobras 21 to 17 points in this tight game. The teams went back and forth trading points in this close quarter. The Wolves then went on a six-point run with the help of a three pointer from
Alyssa Woodlock to make it a one-point ball game with 2:33 on the clock. The quarter of runs ended with a tie of 38-38 to go into the fourth and final quarter being anyone's game.
In the tough battle the Wolves fell to the Cobras 59-40.
The Wolves bench continues to outscore their opponents with the Wolves bench scoring 16 to the Cobras 11 points.
April Rummery-Lamb led the Wolves this afternoon with her double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds while also tagging five blocks.
Alyssa Woodlock posted a career-high collecting six points this afternoon.
