NEWBERRY, S.C.- The Wolves Volleyball team defeated the Saints of Limestone University in five-sets in Eleazer Arena this evening.
The Wolves dominated the first set keeping at least an eight-point lead throughout the set. Anna Schneider and Taylor Hall led throughout the set with kills left and right. The Saints did not go down without a fight taking the second and third sets.
The Wolves were on the hunt tonight as they came back from a six-point deficit to only two points behind the Saints in the beginning of the fourth set. The Wolves stayed in the set battling point for point to come out on top in the end of the fourth set, 25-23.
The fifth set was a nail biter as the Wolves started down 3-0 points to start the set, they were able to shift the momentum with the help of a kill from Samantha Shaffer and Lindsey Green. The Wolves and the Saints were tied at 8-8 in the fifth until a kill from Madison Watson and the Wolves never looked back as they won the fifth set 15-11.
Anna Schneider led the pack with 12 kill and two aces, with Hall right behind her with 11 kills and one ace for the evening. Madison Watson led the team with seven blocks for the competition. Annie Dill led with 43 assists, and Olivia Bradley with 21 digs for the Wolves this evening.
