NEWBERRY, S.C. – After winning the final five games of the regular season, the Newberry College men's lacrosse team (10-4, 6-3 South Atlantic Conference) earned the No. 3 seed in the SAC Tournament, and will host Lincoln Memorial (7-8, 3-6 South Atlantic Conference) on Tuesday, April 25 at 6 p.m. at Setzler Field.

Scouting the Railsplitters: Lincoln Memorial enters Tuesday's quarterfinal contest losers of four of its last five games, but nevertheless earned the 6-seed tiebreaker over Coker and Catawba. The Railsplitters lost at home to Anderson on Saturday in their most recent game, 13-5. LMU is led by Rhodes Conroy's 34 goals and 18 assists, followed closely by Gavin Reid's 31 goals. No other Lincoln Memorial player has more than 18 goals. The Railsplitters and Wolves played at Setzler Field back on March 4, a 15-8 triumph for Newberry.

Scouting the Wolves: Newberry embarks upon the SAC Tournament riding a five-game winning streak. Fortunately for the Wolves, they haven't played since their 22-14 handling of Tusculum back on April 15, giving them a nice respite before the postseason. In that game, James Osorio (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) had his best game of the season, scoring five goals and adding two assists. Briley Maxwell (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada), Connor Bates (Boiling Springs, S.C.) and Curtis Bukta (Ontario, Canada) all had hat tricks in the game. After narrowly losing to Queens in OT in last year's quarterfinal round, the Wolves will be looking for their first-ever SAC Tournament win in their sixth season.
