Scouting the Bears: Lenoir-Rhyne comes into this contest winners of four straight. The Bears carry a 6-1 record, including a 1-0 South Atlantic Conference record with a win over Mars Hill. In their last game on Saturday in Durham, North Carolina, against Florida Tech, the Bears secured a 20-11 victory after pulling away in the second half. Toron Eccleston, Lenoir-Rhyne's leading scorer, netted six goals in the game to bring his season total to 23. Also registering hat-tricks for the Bears against the Panthers were Myles Moffat, Will Canata and Landon Parker. Among conference foes, the Bears rank second in goals scored (121) and assists (77). The Bears' goaltending will likewise present a considerable challenge for the Wolves as Nolan Hoffman's 7.83 goals against average is tops in the conference through seven starts.

Scouting the Wolves: Newberry enters tomorrow night's game with a 5-2 overall record and a 1-1 mark in SAC play with a win over Lincoln Memorial. On the road in Wingate, North Carolina, on Saturday, the Wolves battled hard but left with a 16-14 defeat to the Bulldogs. In that game, five different Wolves scored two goals each; among those was senior Scott Reed (Ontario, Canada), who brought his season total to 25 – the third-most in the conference. Zach Thompson (Ottawa, Ontario Canada) led the Wolves with three assists in the game to give him nine on the year. Collectively, Newberry converted all four of its man-up opportunities against Wingate. That gives the Wolves 22 man-up goals on the campaign in 30 tries for a 73.3% success rate – the best in the conference, and more impressively, all of Division II.
