HICKORY, N.C.- The Wolves volleyball team lost to the Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne Tuesday evening 3-1.
The Wolves trailed behind the Bears in the first set. They were able to maintain at least four points behind until they reached 16 points in the first set where they were unable to finish.
The Wolves dominated the second set as they started out strong gaining an eight-point lead in the beginning of the set. The Bears did not let them have the set easily, they were able to tie up the score two times in the set at 11-11 and 22-22. The Wolves got a needed side out to keep their momentum to finish on top with the score 26-24.
The Wolves continued to fight, making the third and fourth sets high scoring but fell to the Bears 3-1 for the competition.
Game Leaders
Anna Schneider had herself a night recording three career-highs this evening, 16 kills, 17.5 points, and three blocks. Schneider led the pack with her 16 kills for the match. Madison Watson led with five blocks, Margaret McMahon and Samantha Shaffer with four. Taylor Hall led the Wolves with 25 digs, Olivia Bradley and Annie Dill with 17. Dill and Hall both tagged two aces this evening against the Bears.

The Wolves will be back in Eleazer Arena next Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. to face the Trojans of Anderson University for the second time this season.
