Wolves Volleyball Battle but Fall on the Road Against the Eagles

JEFFERSON CITY, TENN.- The Wolves Volleyball team lost 0-3 on the road to the Eagles of Carson-Newman University this evening.

The Wolves trailed behind the Eagles in the start of the first set. The Wolves were able to catch up and tie with the Eagles with the help of a block from Kate Brown and Madison Watson to make the score 9-9, the Wolves fell in the first set 25-21.

In the second set the Wolves started strong maintaining the lead until the Eagles tied up the score at 9-9. The Wolves struggled to regain the lead finishing the second set 25-18.

The third set was another close set until the end, the Wolves crept back in to the third set going point for point from a seven-point deficit to make the score 15-17 with the help of a kill from Brown. The Wolves went on two three point runs to put themselves back in the set. The Wolves unfortunately were unsuccessful, finishing the third set 25-17.

Game Leaders

Taylor Hall led the Wolves offensively with 12 kills, Brown added nine kills. Olivia Bradley led the pack defensively with 19 digs. Watson led with six blocks for the evening.

The Wolves travel to Hartsville, S.C., this Friday evening to take on the Cobras of Coker University at 7:00.
