SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE, VA – The Newberry College women's triathlon team competed in the East Regional Qualifier Saturday and finished fifth as a team out of all division II schools scoring 183 points.
 
Freshman, Kayleigh Geel finished 21^st    with a time of 1:10:59 in the division II race and scored a team high 59 points on the day. Becca Hartrick added 37 points with a time of 1:19:42. Cassi Murphy posted 33 points with a time of 1:22:18. Abbie Stackis added 29 points with a time of 1:23:06. Josephine Langtry added 25 points with a time of 1:25:07.
