NEWBERRY, S.C. - Newberry College has announced changes to Saturday's basketball doubleheader.
The men's team was originally scheduled to host Lenoir-Rhyne at 4:30 pm in their home opener. For Lenoir -Rhyne to meet the minimum NCAA and SAC COVID testing and quarantining standards as outlined in the SAC Return to Play Protocol for Basketball, the game has been postponed. The two teams are working together to reschedule the game at a later date.
The women's team was supposed to host Queens University of Charlotte at 2:00, but the Royals are now in quarantine. The two teams will now play at the originally scheduled date, January 27th at 5:30 pm. The women will now play Limestone University at 2:00 pm Saturday.
Only essiential game management and broadcast members will be allowed in Eleazer Arena Saturday for the game against Limestone.
