NEWBERRY - The Newberry women's tennis team fell to No. 10 North Georgia 6-1 Tuesday afternoon at the Oakland Tennis Center.
The Wolves (11-7, 1-4 SAC) were able to get their lone victory as
Elisa Aguirre defeated No. 2 Vaishali Jorge in three sets. Aguirre won the first set 7-5 before Jorge flipped the script in the second half to win 7-5. In the final set, Aguirre was able to get the 6-3 win to wrap up the set.
The Wolves will be back home this Thursday as they take on No. 49 Georgia College at 3 p.m.
