- Markell Castle's seven-catch, 197-yard performance against Lenoir-Rhyne was the third-biggest receiving day in school history. He also moved into second in career receiving yards (2,173) and fourth in total receptions (137) and is third with 21 touchdowns, one shy of Corey Washington for second place. His 75-yard touchdown catch from Greg Ruff was the 12th-longest pass play in school history.
- Newberry opponents are 10 for their last 57 on third downs dating back to the fourth quarter at Florida Tech, a conversion rate of 17.5 percent.
- Newberry's defense has held its five non-Division I opponents this season to 106 yards below their total offense average entering their game with the Wolves. The last three opponents have all been held at least 126 yards below their average. The Wolves' defense is allowing an average of 239 yards per game over the last five games and is ranked 14th in total defense.
- Jamarcus Henderson leads Division II and ranks second across all three NCAA divisions in tackle for loss yards (260). He is second in Division II and third overall with 54.5 career tackles for loss, while his 26.5 sacks are third among active Division II players.
