- Erskine carried a perfect game into the sixth inning before Newberry rebounded to cut the game close.
- Maude McCourry (6-3) was tagged with the loss despite giving up only three earned runs in six innings. She struck out four, walked three and allowed seven hits in her start.
Erskine scored a pair on a two-run homer in the bottom of the first and put a third run on the board in the fifth with a pair of doubles to the right-center gap.
Drawe's leadoff single in the sixth was Newberry's first base runner and she would score on a wild pitch. Morgan Sweeney cut the lead to 3-2 with an RBI single, but the Wolves would leave the bases loaded.
The Flying Fleet took advantage of a two-out error in the outfield with runners on base to score three and push the lead to 6-2 in the bottom of the sixth.
Drawe kicked off the rally again with a one-out single in the seventh, followed by singles from Gerndt and Natalie Willis . Linton's two-run single cut the lead to one with a runner in scoring position and one out, but a pair of strikeouts ended the Newberry threat and the game.

- Sweeney and Drawe had two hits each in the contest.
- Devon Morrison (2-3) got the win with 3.2 wins of shutout relief, allowing five hits and striking out one.
The Wolves' first two batters reached base and scored, as the scarlet and gray did not wait nearly as long to get going in the night cap. Myranda Dills had an RBI single and McCourry laid down a sacrifice hit to bring home a run.
Erskine manufactured a run in the second as Julia Cole walked, stole second, advanced to third on a groundout and scored on a wild pitch. Lydia Trexler tied the game for the Fleet in the fourth with an RBI double.
Clontz came into the game as a pinch hitter with two out in the fifth and blasted a solo homer to score the game-winning run. It is only the second hit of her collegiate career.
