Newberry pushed across five runs in the fourth on RBI singles from Nicolette Myers and Linton. Sweeney's double brought home a run and a sacrifice fly by Natalie Willis made it a 5-1 contest.
Four more runs in the bottom of the fifth brought the game to an early close. Three walks loaded the bases early to set up the rally. A wild pitch brought home a run before a Linton RBI single. Mallory Gerndt drew a bases loaded walk and a single by Allison Van Atta brought the game to a close.
GAME TWO: Newberry 8, Emmanuel 0 (5 innings)
