Men's soccer will travel to Spartanburg to play Southern Wesleyan

NEWBERRY - The Newberry College men's soccer team will play Southern Wesleyan at the Upward Star Center in Spartanburg on Wednesday, September 30th. Kickoff is now set for 2 p.m.

NEWBERRY NOTES

  • The team fell to No. 16 Wingate, 1-0, on Sunday, September 27th. Brad Dixon made 11 saves in goal for the Wolves.
  • Davis Bryan and Ky Tyler both have scored one goal each so far in the season.
  • Dixon has made 27 saves for the season.

SOUTHERN WESLEYAN NOTES

  • The Warriors recently defeated Barton, 3-1, this past Sunday after dropping to Emmanuel, 4-1, last week.
  • Ruben Rodriguez has made 29 saves in goal for a Goals Against Average of 1.25.
  • Goals scored: Sebastian Castro has scored three goals so far for the season with Michel Herszenhout and Marcelo Vargas scoring two goals apiece.
