Game Two: Carson-Newman 7, Newberry 2 - Box Score
Newberry was unable to take game two from the Eagles as they failed to win a share of the conference series for the first time this season. Carson-Newman's big fourth inning was the key for the Eagles' victory as they exploded for four runs to take a 5-0 lead.

With two runs already on the board and the bases loaded, CN's Howar doubled to left-center clearing the bases and giving the Eagles a 5-0 lead.

Newberry once again responded in the following half-inning with two consecutive hits by Sara Powell (Ocean View, Del.) and Christine Stokes (Charleston, S.C.), but were unable to convert on the hits with the bases loaded after Jessica Reid (Walhalla, S.C.) was hit by a pitch.

With no outs in the inning, NC stranded all three runners as Stephanie Templeton came in for relief for starting pitcher, Mary Shealy. Templeton got Hilbourn to lineout to the shortstop and then struck out Angela Cataldo (Sumer, S.C.) and ended the inning with an Aissa Gatewood (N. Charleston, S.C.) groundout to the shortstop.
