CHARLESTON, S.C. - Newberry College men's cross country team placed sixth among Division II opponents at The Citadel Invitational in Charleston, S.C. Lenoir-Rhyne College finished first among non-Division I teams and Lees-McRae was second.
Individually, freshman Kamron Johnston (Bossier City, La.) was the top finisher for the Indians with a time of 28:50; good enough for 26th. Fellow freshman Devon Gillett (Jessup, Mary.) also placed in the top-30 with a time of 28:55.
Lewis Martin was the individual race winner amongst non-Division I opponents with a time of 25:21.
