Brevard, NC - The Newberry men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2nd Annual Brevard Cross Country Classic on Saturday. The Wolves' men placed fourth in a 15-team field, while the women earned a 10th-place finish among 14 teams.
Men
The Newberry men's cross country team placed seven runners in the field and came away with a solid team performance.

Tyler Shumate (Jr.) paced the Wolves with an 8th-place finish in 27:39.99 on the 8K course.

Jordan Kent (Fr.) impressed in his collegiate debut, running 28:03.18 for 12th.

Drew Benson (Jr.) added key depth at 19th (28:12.73).

Camden Longdon (Fr.) finished 39th (29:14.67).

The Wolves' women matched the men's energy with steady performances across the 5K.
