High School: Prepped by David Laxton and Rod Howard... grappled for four years at the varsity level... finished his high school career with a record of 151-7... was a four time district and regional champion... was a two time state champion and a two time third place finisher at state... garnered AAU All-American laurels twice... named to the NHSCA All-American squad on two occasions... was named to the all-state team twice and the all-area team four times... served as team captain for three years... was named the Most Valuable Wrestler twice... helped his team earn three district championships... led his team to a second place in finish at the state championship in 2010...also competed with the track team for three seasons and the weightlifting team for four years...
