Prior to Newberry: At Muskegon CC: Was ranked first nationally... national qualifier... Academic All-American... Team Academic Award... Record of 28-6...

At Greenville HS: Four-time state qualifier... Third at 160 lbs. as a senior... All-State as a freshman, sophomore and senior...
