The Clackamas CC transfer finished his season with a 11-3 record... West went 2-0 in major decisions and 2-1 in falls... Finished in 5th place at the Wolfpack Open after dropping just one match against Tanner Orndorff of Utah Valley... Was perfect at the Newberry Duals, picking up four wins... 

Prior to Newberry

West finished in the 184-pound weight class at the National Junior College Athletic Association national championships. He went 30-11 and lost only twice in his last 19 bouts -- one of those losses coming to eventual national champion Tyler Hoffman of Iowa Central in the semifinals of the NJCAA national championships. The Cougars were the runner-ups in the 2017 NJCAA Wrestling Championships.
