Lauren Underwood is a 5-foot-11 right-side/outside hitter from Santa Clarita, Calif. She is a transfer from College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita where she was a two-year starter. Underwood was an all-conference selection both seasons and hit .200 while averaging 2.3 kills per set in last year’s campaign. 

She prepped at Canyon HS where she was a team captain, most valuable player and second team all-league selection as a senior in 2012. Underwood is the daughter of Stephen and Chirsty Underwood and has one sister, Robyn, who will be a freshman at Dordt College in Iowa this fall. 

“Lauren is a very strong hitter and hits a heavy ball,” Hay said. “She has excellent hand-to-ball contact on her attacks and can hit effectively at both pins. She has a strong vertical and puts up a very good block. We are looking forward to having Lauren on our court this fall.”
