Started in 11 of 13 games played... Grabbed 13 ground balls including a career-high four against Davis & Elkins (03.04.19)... Caused nine turnovers including a career-high three against Shorter.

Prior to Newberry
Played two seasons at Anne Arundel CC where he was selected to the All-Maryland second team on defense.

Personal
Zachary, a business administration major, is the son of Diana and Alan Payne... Sister, Lindsay, played four years of softball at Villa Julie College... Enjoys listening ot Blink-182 and watching Moana and Naruto... Favorite athlete is Tom Brady and likes to watch football... In his down time, he plays fortnite... Aspires to be a CFO at a large company.
