Prior to Newberry

As a goalkeeper for Mauldin HS, Butler started in all 17 of the contest his senior year. He was award Player of the game in the match up against Nation Ford. He recorded 151 total saves his senior year. Mauldin made it to the semi-finals of the South Carolina High School League Class AAAAA playoffs. 

Personal

Butler is the son of Mike and Jana Butler. His favorite musician is Chance the Rapper and his favorite movie is Lone Survivor. Butler's favorite quote is Wayne Gretsky's, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take". After graduation he hopes to become an engiener and travel the world. Butler's role model is his father while his favorite athlete is John Wall. His favorite athletic moment was during his junior year when he made 23 saves and only allowed two goals.
