Made five starts and played in 10 games...Led team and finished fifth in the SAC with 1191 passing yards, going 94-for-157 on the season...Also ranked fifth in the league with 12 touchdown passes...Threw five interceptions...Passed for a career-high 299 yards and two scores on 19-for-29 through the air at No. 18 Wingate...Career-best three touchdown passes against Tusculum...Threw touchdowns of 64 and 63 yards, both to Deshun Kitchings...Team's second-leading rusher with 368 yards and a score on 94 carries, averaging 3.9 yards per carry and 36.8 yards per game on the ground...Finished second among SAC quarterbacks in rushing yards and tops among traditional passing quarterbacks...Had five games of 150 yards or more passing...Had 109 rushing yards Oct. 19 at Catawba to give Newberry its first pair of 100-yard rushers in the same game since November 2017.

2017 Mr. Football finalist...North-South All-Star...Led Chapman HS to a 3A state championship in 2016 and to the title game as a senior in 2017...Holds 13 school records...In 2017, was 205-for-289 (70.9 pct) for 3,400 yards and 45 touchdowns against just three interceptions...Also rushed 130 times for 936 yards and 15 scores...In his four-year career, was 671-for-1,089 (61.6 pct) for 10,066 yards, 117 touchdowns, and 33 interceptions...Rushed 404 times in his career for 2,031 yards and 38 touchdowns...Won two statewide Player of the Year awards, two Region Player of the Year awards, was twice named Area Player of the Year, and was All-State and All-Region three times...Also won Gold Gloves in both seasons of varsity baseball, playing all three outfield and both middle infield positions...Earned a varsity letter in basketball.
