Cannon Jordan came to Newberry as an Assistant Secondary Coach prior to the 2018 season.
Jordan has coached extensively at the high school level in South Carolina, working with the defensive backs at Conway (2015-16) and Wando (2017) high schools while also coordinating the special teams at Conway in 2016. He coached spring football practice, summer passing leagues, and instructed during summer weight room sessions from 2011-14 at Conway High School. He has also worked with baseball teams at Clinton and Conway High Schools and taught various match classes at Conway and Wando.
Jordan spent a year working as a student assistant at Clemson before transferring to Presbyterian, where he spent four years playing for the Blue Hose. He was PC's Special Teams Player of the Year in both 2013 and 2014, years when he was chosen by his teammates to be a captain. He graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Mathematics and a minor in Secondary Education.
