Anthony Blue will enter his first season as an assistant coach for the Newberry College Football team after playing for the Wolves from 2018-21.
Blue will serve as a coach for the Defensive Backs along with helping out with Special Teams.
While coaching, Blue will be playing professionally in the USFL for the New Jersey Generals during the 2023 USFL season.Â
After his 2021 season Blue became the second Wolf to be invited to the NFLPAÂ Collegiate bowl.
As a Wolf, Blue helped lead the Wolves to their fourth SAC Championship in the 2021 season. In that 2021 season, Blue earned All-SAC, All-Region, and All-American honors after a season with 45 tackles, seven interceptions, and 15 passes broken up. Blue had two interceptions in Newberry's historical playoff overtime win at West Florida.Â
