At Wilsonville High School
Played four years for coach matt Kosderka... Named first team All-League and second team All-State.

At Clark College
Played two years for coach Don Freeman... Named first team All-South Region and second team All-NWAACC after hitting .329 with 10 doubles, one triple, one homerun and 24 runs batted in. He also posted a .404 on-base percentage and racked up 16 stolen bases while scoring 28 runs.
