Faircloth joins the Newberry staff in 2026 after a successful playing career as a Wolf.
As a senior in 2025 he started 50 of 52 games in the outfield, earning NCAA Division 2 national gold glove award  selected by the American Baseball Coaches Association. The prestigious awards are chosen by the ABCA All-America Committee for each Division.
Faircloth was also named to the ABCA Southeast Region All-Defensive Team.
Faircloth made no errors in 108 chances this season while batting .289 with a team leading 12 doubles and 38 runs batted in.
In his four seasons with the Wolves (2022-25) he started 156 games, batting .310 with 184 hits, 31 doubles, six triples, four home runs and 118 runs batted in. He had 48 stolen bases and made just six errors in 288 chances for a .981 fielding percentage with 15 assists.Â
He was a starter on the 2023 team that won the South Atlantic Conference regular season and postseason tournament and a spot in the NCAA Tournament and was named to the SAC Conference Tournament Team, and the All-SAC Defensive Team 2023.
