The Newberry College Wrestling program will Launch their 5th Annual Pin Pool on Wednesday, October 18th during the team’s annual phone-a-thon at 7:00pm! For those who are unfamiliar, the Pin Pool is an exciting tradition for the Wolves, and last year this wrestling-focused fundraiser brought in just shy of $20,000 in pledges with over 150 unique members.
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS! You join the Pin Pool by pledging to give a specific dollar amount for every pin the team accumulates over the course of the season. For example, if you pledge to give $1 per pin and the team finishes the season with 90 pins, your gift amount would be $90. If the team finishes with 90 pins and you pledged to give $2 per pin, your gift would be $180. For reference, last season the team had 62 pins. The Wolves anticipate between 65 and 75 pins this coming season. Pin Pool members will not fulfill pledges until the end of the season in March when Coach Brown reaches out to each supporter via email with pledge fulfillment information.
Pledges are categorized into three tiers that come with different incentives.
Tier 1:
All-Conference Level (any pledge between $1-$4 per pin)
