All-South Atlantic Conference Carolinas First Team 285 lbs.

Finished in seventh-place at the NCAA DII National Championships to earn All-American status... Finished in first-place at the Super Region 2 Championships... Finished in second place in falls with 13 for all of DII... Earned the week nine conference Wrestler of the Week after going 5-0 in competition including an 8-3 decision win over ninth ranked Jacob Robb of No. 22 Mercyhurst... Earned the week 12 conference Wrestler of the Week after getting the fall over Ramon Correa of Coker in :43... Earned week 14 conference Wrestler of the Week after getting the fall over Daniel Bland of Limestone in :40 for the league championship... Went 25-9 in his final season along with a perfect 6-0 conference record... Had a combined 16 falls with three coming in conference action. Had three falls in under a minute including a fall over Gabriel Picket of Gardner-Webb in :10.


2017-18
All-ECAC First Team 285 lbs.

From Lexington, S.C., Gossett finished the season with a 22-12 record. The heavyweight had nine wins by fall on the year, with his fastest time coming in a swift 13 seconds. Gossett dominated through conference play, tallying a 6-0 record in the ECAC. He had a great showing at the Region Duals, getting a big win against Tristen Weirich of fourth-ranked Ashland. At the Super Regional tourney, Gossett would meet with a couple of his opponents from earlier in the season. He would capture three wins during the two-day event, but would move into the fifth-place spot by rule. 
2016-17

All-ECAC Second Team 285 lbs.

2014-15: Wrestled unattached at two events... Placed fifth at King Open with three wins by fall... Record of 6-4...

Prior to Newberry: Wrestled for coach Danny Crotts in his senior season at White Knoll, where he was on the varsity team for four seasons... Twice won the SCHSL Class 4A title and placed seventh at the Super 32 and third at the Journeyman... Twice named all-state and wrestled on the North/South All-Star team...
