Went 24-5 on the season with a conference record of 6-0... Finished fifth in DII in falls with 10 in NCAA competition... Had a total of 11 falls... Finished seventh at the NCAA DII National Championships... Finished third at the Super Region 2 Championships... Earned the week five conference Wrestler of the Week after going 2-2 at the Newberry Duals including Newberry's lone win over No. 1 St. Cloud State.

The junior had an impressive year for the Wolves, finishing the season 21-7.. Had an 8-0 record by fall and, 3-1 record in major decisions... His fastest time was 30 seconds against Eric Milks of UNC Pembroke ... Finished the Newberry Duals with a 3-1 record... Went 5-1 at the Midwest Classic, including a win over several top-ranked opponents... Had a 3rd place finish at the Midwest Classic... Palmer went 4-0 in conference play.... Advanced to the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships in Cedar Rapids, after going 3-0 on the day... His sole loss came to top-ranked Pernevlon Shepperd of Wisconsin-Parkside... Finished 1st place at the Midwest Regionals...  

Prior to Newberry: Two-time state finalist from White Knoll HS in Lexington... He was state champion as a junior and state runner-up as a senior.. Also the Coastal Clash champion...
