2021 National Champion at 141 pounds... Went undefeated in the regular season, finishing with an overall 13-1 record... Had four wins via fall and three via major decision... Qualified for national tournament, where he went 3-0 including a win in the championship to claim Newberry’s fourth individual championship... Led team in wins... Named All-SACC First Team 

2019-20
22-2 record... Won Super Region II tournament and was seeded no. 1 at national tournament before it was cancelled due to COVID-19... Had 10 wins via bonus points, including a fall in the opening round of the region tournament and a major decision win in the semifinals... Placed sixth at the Midwest Classic... Went undefeated in conference matches.

2018-19
Went 29-7 on the season with a conference record of 5-0... Had seven falls on the season... Was defeated by Jose Rodriguez of Notre Dame (OH) in the National Championship match... Handed the No. 1 seed Brandon Ball of Fort Hays St. his first loss of the season in the semifinals of the NCAA DII National Championships... Placed first at the Super Region 2 Championships... Earned the week seven conference Wrestler of the Week after placing second at the Midwest Classic... Named SACC Wrestler of the Year while also being named to All-SACC First Team.

2017-18
Royal went 23-15 this season... Went 6-3 in major decisions... Royal had a 7th place finish at the Midwest Classic.... Had a nearly perfect conference record, with his only loss coming at King against ninth-ranked Bryce Killian... Finished third at the Midwest Regionals, and qualified for a spot at nationals... Named All-ECAC Second Team.
