NEWBERRY, S.C. – Newberry College women's volleyball battled Lincoln Memorial University on Friday night, falling 3-1 in a competitive matchup. (23-25, 18-25, 25-18, 23-25)
The Wolves fought hard throughout the match, including a strong third-set performance that saw Newberry take the set 25-18 and extend the match. Newberry continued to battle in the fourth set, but Lincoln Memorial closed out the match with a 25-23 win.
Maggie Helle led the Wolves offensively with 17 kills, while Hailey Clayworth paced the defense with 26 digs. Carley Raleigh also contributed 23 assists and 13 digs.
Newberry will back in action Saturday September 12 against Carson-Newman at 2:00 PM.
