NEWBERRY, SC- Newberry freshman Nick Riedel has been named the South Atlantic Conference Pitcher of the Week, announced by the league official. 

Riedel delivered a standout performance in Newberry's 9–5 victory over Lenoir-Rhyne on April 4. He worked 7.0 innings, allowing just three earned runs while striking out nine. Riedel issued only one walk and kept the Bears off balance throughout the contest, finishing with a 3.86 ERA and 11.57 strikeouts per nine innings.

The Wolves return to action on the road for a three-game series April 10–11 at Wingate University. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. on April 10.
