NEWBERRY, SC – The Wolves scored five runs in the first inning and never looked back Tuesday night, defeating No. 10 North Greenville 8–2 at the Smith Road Complex. The Wolves capitalized early and added three more runs in the third inning to create separation, while the pitching staff limited the Trailblazers to just six hits and two runs to secure the ranked non-conference victory.

At the plate, Finn McLaughlin, Josh Bandy, Chandler Mims each contributed key hits during the five-run opening frame. Luke Compton, Jomar Lugo, and Campbell McCurry also added hits as part of Newberry's eight-hit night.

On the mound, Keillor Osbon set the tone early before the Wolves' relief pitcher Jake McGlynn threw five scoreless innings down the stretch, closing the door late to seal the upset over the top-10 Trailblazers.
