In a nighttime matchup at Eleazer Arena, the Newberry College men's volleyball team dropped a 3–0 decision to Erskine College on Thursday evening, falling by set scores of 25–19, 25–15, and 25–21.
Offensively for Newberry, Lucas Nieves paced the Wolves with 9 kills and added a service ace, while Preston Anderson contributed 7 kills and Timothy Cox tallied 6 kills. Setter Greyson Crumpton orchestrated the offense with 22 assists and also chipped in 6 digs, and Newberry finished with 28 total digs. On the block, the Wolves recorded 2 team blocks, with Anderson, Crumpton, and Noah Pavao each contributing.
Despite the loss, the Wolves continued to show growth and competitive spirit against a well-balanced opponent and will look to build on this effort as the 2026 season progresses.
