TIGERVILLE, SC – The Newberry Wolves showed fight and offensive life in a competitive outing on the road but ultimately came up short against North Greenville, falling 15-6 in the non-conference matchup in Tigerville, S.C. Newberry saw its 3–4 overall record challenged by a powerful NGU lineup that struck early and often, while the Wolves manufactured a late-game rally that highlighted resilience despite the deficit.

After NGU scored first on a sacrifice fly, Newberry responded in the third when Jomar Lugo drilled a solo home run to knot the game at 1–1, giving the Wolves hope early.
Although Newberry chipped away in the middle innings with Luke Compton, Finn McLaughlin and others driving in runs in the fifth and sixth frames.
