The Newberry College Wolves women's field hockey team will open the 2025 season at home Saturday ranked #10 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association NCAA Division 2 preseason poll.
This is the fourth consecutive season the Wolves have been in the national poll reaching a program best seventh on September 24, 2024.
The Wolves were 15-4 overall, 11-3 in the South Atlantic Conference, tied for the regular season title and hosted the postseason tournament as the top seed last season.
Newberry has been picked to win the SAC title in the 2025 preseason poll.
Last year the Wolves finished #9 in the final regular season NFHCA poll.
