NEWBERRY, SC-- Newberry graduate Brian Lake has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league official. 

Lake, a graduate student from Ronkonkoma, N.Y., played a key role in two pivotal victories for the Wolves, collecting three ground balls and causing six turnovers. He was instrumental in a defensive effort that held Catawba to just five total goals, causing five turnovers in that game alone.

The Wolves now have an overall record of 7-3 and a 4-0 mark in SAC play. Their next matchup is set for Saturday, March 29, against the Limestone Saints at 7 PM.
