<p data-end="349" data-start="67">NEWBERRY, S.C. – The No. 20 Newberry Wolves continued their strong season with a commanding 12-5 win over Catawba on Saturday afternoon at Setzler Field. The victory improves Newberry's record to 7-3 overall and 4-0 in conference play, while Catawba falls to 7-2 (3-2 conference).</p>
<p data-end="721" data-start="351">Newberry came out firing in the first quarter, putting up five goals while holding Catawba scoreless. At halftime, the Wolves led 7-4, maintaining control despite a push from the visitors in the second period. The third quarter saw a defensive battle with no goals from Newberry, but the Wolves roared back in the fourth, tacking on another five goals to seal the win.</p>

Liam Vollans led the way for Newberry with a standout performance, recording a team-high three goals and three assists to pace the offense. Jonny Maclean added a goal and an assist, while
Brian Lake and
Will Wozniak also found the back of the net. Goalie
Ben Mcmullen was a force in the cage, making 12 saves to keep Catawba's attack in check. Defensively,
Jack Travassos and
Shane Halliwell played key roles, each recording multiple caused turnovers to disrupt Catawba's offensive rhythm. The Wolves' defensive unit forced 15 total caused turnovers and won 13 face-offs, helping control possession throughout the game.</p>
