Braden Tatum (141) will seek to add their names to the list of Wolves All-Americans Friday and Saturday at Corteva Coliseum at the 2025 NCAA Division 2 Men's Wrestling Championships.
The Friday morning championship first round kicks off at 10:00 a.m. with the championship quarterfinals and consolation bracket starting at 5:00 p.m. Saturday's action begins at 10:00 a.m. with the championship semifinals and consolation place matches and 7:00 p.m. for the championship finals.
Reed (17-7), making his second consecutive appearance at nationals, begins the competition for the Wolves as he takes on Damon Ashworth of the University of Central Missouri in a qualifying round with the winner facing #8 seed Kyle Homet of Glenville State (W.Va.).
John Parker (29-7), also making his second consecutive appearance at nationals after winning a second straight regional title, matches up with Jeramiah Larson of Maryville (Mo.) in a qualifying round match with the winner taking on #8 seed Tereus Henry of Fort Hays State (Kan.).
Tatum (12-8), making his first national tournament appearance, takes on #2 seed Sean Solis of the University of Mary (N.D.) in the first round at 141 pounds.
Schrader (16-10), in his first season at Newberry, rounds out the first-round action for the Wolves by squaring off with #2 seed Ryan Herman of Maryville.
If the Wolves can make it past the first-round matches on Friday morning, they will compete in the quarterfinals Friday night.
Newberry is seeking to extend its streak of consecutive years with at least one All-American to 18 years dating back to the 2008 season.
