The game remained tight throughout, featuring nine lead changes and five ties, with Newberry controlling the rebounding battle and displaying strong offensive execution. With the loss, the Wolves finished the season at (6-23 overall and 5-20 in South Atlantic Conference play).
Jess Tomkins capped off the season with a dominant performance, leading all scorers with 26 points while pulling down 17 rebounds, including five on the offensive glass. Marykate Kent was a major spark from beyond the arc, knocking down five three-pointers on her way to 18 points. Rickell Brown also contributed offensively with 10 points, while the Wolves moved the ball well as a team, finishing with 17 assists. Newberry's effort on the boards was evident, outrebounding the opposition 44-33, which helped keep them within striking distance throughout the game.
The Wolves opened the game strong, putting up 17 points in the first quarter and attacking the paint with confidence.
